About MASTERING HER SENSES (Blasphemy #2, 2/21/17):

12 Masters. Infinite fantasies. Welcome to Blasphemy…

He wants to dominate her senses—and her heart…

Quinton Ross has always been a thrill-seeker—so it’s no surprise that he’s drawn to extremes in the bedroom and at his BDSM club, Blasphemy, where he creates sense-depriving scenarios that blow submissives’ minds. Now if he could just find one who needs the rush as much as him…

When an accident leaves Cassia Locke with a paralyzing fear of the dark, she’ll try anything to get help. Ready to fight, she knows just who to ask for help—the hard-bodied, funny-as-hell Dom she’d always crushed on—and once stood up.

Quinton is shocked and a little leery to see Cassia, but he can’t pass up the chance to dominate the alluring little sub this time. Introducing her to sensory deprivation becomes his new favorite obsession, and watching her fight fear is its own thrill. But when doubt threatens to send her running again, Quinton must find a way to master her senses—and her heart.

Laura Kaye has done it again.  Mastering Her Senses is book two in her Blasphemy Series, but with Hard to Serve as book 0.5, this is really the third book in the series.  I have loved every moment of this series.  Mastering Her Senses  is the story of Dom/Master Quinton and submissive Cassia.  Two or so years ago Quinton and Cassia had scened a few times, but then Cassia stood up Quinton and never returned to Blasphemy.  Quinton sees her for the first time now when he has to rescue her from a scene gone bad.  The chemistry that had been there two years ago is alive and well, but Cassia has changed some.  After an accident with her job (I'll leave it there) she has some issues and while she's very confident, she's not as confident as she once was and she has some fears.  Quinton works through Cassia's phobias and her heart and the two are perfect together.

I've read many BDSM books.  Laura's books fit the mold for a typical BDSM light story, but they are so much more.  Frequently we read about Doms and men who have pasts that they are escaping.  In her books the females have done things with their lives.  They've been in dangerous situations and they have survived.  Cassia is no exception to Laura's heroines.  She's alive in ways that other characters aren't.  She's real.  She's strong.  And she knows what she wants.  She doesn't shy away.  It's very refreshing to read her heroines.

There is some crossover with prior books in both this series and the Raven Rider series, but this book could definitely be read as a standalone or the series could be read out of order.  You're guaranteed to love it.  If you're looking to try out a BDSM book start here.

I loved Mastering Her Senses and give it FIVE STARS!!!!!
