For fans of Fifty Shades... comes a new novella in the Bestselling ENTHRALL SESSIONS by Vanessa Fewings.

Richard Booth is the senior dominant at the elite BDSM club Enthrall, a thrill-seeking bad boy with an insatiable appetite for dangerous sports and disciplining submissives. His signature brand of wielding pleasure and pain has spread through whispers in Hollywood.

Andrea Buckingham is a young, gorgeous, rising actress on the verge of tackling the movie role of a lifetime, but the strains of a celebrity lifestyle and the relentless demands of a fierce filmmaker threaten to extinguish her rising star.

Andrea pleads to Richard for a salvation from her troubles that only he can provide. But is she too lost to be found? Too fractured to be fixed?

In the most daring of all the Enthrall Sessions, Vanessa Fewings plunges her readers into new depths of passion.

Listen to an Excerpt

This is the first book I've read (or, rather, listened to) by Vanessa Fewings so it's obviously the first I've read in the Enthrall Sessions Series.  But even though I hadn't read any of the other books in the series I was able to understand everything and I didn't feel like I was missing key information as is sometimes the case with series.  In other words, this book can easily be read as a standalone.  Of course, now I do want to go back and read the other books and you probably will too.

Richard's Reign is the story of Dominant Richard and actress Andrea.  Andrea is working on a role for a film in which she has to play a submissive.  Her very strict director doesn't see that she understands what the role is about and orders her to get her head in the role.  In order to do so Andrea hires Richard to train her as a submissive.  While at first reluctant Richard realizes that Andrea truly is submissive and both thrive in the role of Master and sub.

Richard is all alpha.  He's a Dom and he's second in command at a BDSM club.  He knows exactly what he's looking for in a sub and how to rule over one.  Richard has some issues from his family's past that don't allow him to be seen in the spotlight.  While he likes Andrea he doesn't want to be caught up with the paparazzi.  He's also just getting over a recent break up.  So he doesn't want to fall again so easily.

Andrea is an up and coming young actress. She's attracted the attention of the press and they follow her everywhere.  She has deep fears from her past and wants to overcome them in order to move forward in life.

Together Richard and Andrea work through their pasts.  Hearing about them it seems like they've known each other forever.  Their relationship is very steamy, but it's also very comfortable.

The narration by Aaron Shedlock was easy to get into.  I listen to quite a few audiobooks and sometimes I have a tough time immersing myself in a new book with new voices.  Aaron's voice was smooth when it needed to be and husky when it demanded it.  He did a good job reading this book.

Overall I really liked Richard's Reign and give the book FOUR STARS!

    RIDE HARD - cover
Title: Ride Hard
Series: Raven Riders #1
Author: Laura Kaye
Release Date: April 26, 2016

Brotherhood. Club. Family.
They live and ride by their own rules.
These are the Raven Riders…

Raven Riders Motorcycle Club President Dare Kenyon rides hard and values loyalty above all else. He’ll do anything to protect the brotherhood of bikers—the only family he’s got—as well as those who can’t defend themselves. So when mistrustful Haven Randall lands on the club’s doorstep scared that she’s being hunted, Dare takes her in, swears to keep her safe, and pushes to learn the secrets overshadowing her pretty smile.

Haven fled from years of abuse at the hands of her criminal father and is suspicious of any man’s promises, including those of the darkly sexy and overwhelmingly intense Ravens’ leader. But as the powerful attraction between them flares to life, Dare pushes her boundaries and tempts her to want things she never thought she could.

The past never dies without a fight, but Dare Kenyon’s never backed down before…

I’m thrilled to be celebrating the release of my 25th novel, Ride Hard, the first book in my Raven Riders Motorcycle Club series about a new kind of MC with a protective mission. You might’ve first met the Ravens in the Hard Ink world, but this series stands on its own and is even sexier, edgier, and grittier! I can’t wait for you to get to know Dare, Haven, and everyone in the Raven world! And see down below for a giveaway and a bonus story offer! I hope you enjoy this excerpt from the book!

Excerpt from Ride Hard:
So much better out here,” Haven said, the night air cool against the tingling warmth of her skin. Although she was pretty sure that not all of the heat burning through her insides was from the alcohol—her unusual flirtatiousness and closeness to Dare over the past half hour had made her desperate with a heat that had nothing to do with her drinking game.

She walked to the railing and leaned against it, chuckling a little at herself for needing the support it offered. She felt so damn free, and it was a heady, exhilarating thing.

“What’s funny?” Dare asked, settling a hip against the railing right beside her. Arms crossed, jaw ticking with tension, dark eyes blazing, he was staring at her like he wanted to reprimand her or devour her. Oddly, neither alarmed her the way she would’ve expected it to.

Haven shook her head, leaning it back and letting her gaze float over the night sky. Blurry points of light swam in the moonlit heavens. It was beautiful and peaceful despite the pounding bass beat of music thumping from inside the clubhouse. “Not funny, just good. Happy, you know? Being able to do something a little . . . scary, but knowing I’d be safe doing it.” When Dare’s gaze narrowed, she shrugged. “I don’t know.”

A long moment passed before Dare finally spoke. “You are safe here, Haven. Never doubt it.”

Peering up at him, she nodded, all kinds of words sitting on the tip of her tongue, challenging her to let them fly. “It’s weird feeling safe—or at least safer—after a lifetime of not. It makes me want to try things I could never let myself try before. It makes me . . .” She shook her head and dipped her chin.

Dare stepped closer, his thighs coming up against her hip. He lifted her chin and made her look at him. The contact combined with the command in the gesture lanced white-hot desire through her veins. “Makes you what?”

“Want to feel alive,” she whispered, her heart suddenly racing in her chest.

Dare’s jaw ticked again as his gaze swept over her face. She didn’t think she was imagining the raw emotion pouring off of him and wrapping around her, but she wasn’t sure if she was reading that emotion right or projecting her own desire onto him.

“Do you feel alive, Dare?” she asked, the alcohol flowing through her and the night spinning around her like she was walking through a dream.

“Jesus,” he bit out.

The rough desperation in his voice made her wet between her legs. “Just once,” she whispered, not sure what she was asking him for.

But he seemed to know. Because his hand was suddenly tangled in her hair and his mouth was suddenly on hers, claiming, probing, tasting. Haven moaned and parted her lips, inviting him deeper.

I'll admit that I've always been a good girl.  I don't have any tattoos.  I haven't been drunk since my college days.  I don't do drugs and I don't break laws.  But whenever I read Laura Kaye's books all of my self-imposed rules seem to go away.  She makes tattoos and real bad boys sexy.  Ride Hard is the story of Dare, the President of the Raven Rider's MC and Haven, a girl he's trying to protect.

Dare is the embodiment of everything I've ever been told was bad, but Laura Kaye makes one see past the bad boy and the motorcycle club and she introduces us to the person underneath.  Dare is sweet.  He's sexy.  And most of all he takes care of what he believes in.  He has values and he stands by them.  Dare is an honorable, sexy man.

Haven grew up with a criminal father.  She was treated horribly and she finally got away.  Haven is much younger than Dare, but she's older than her years.  She's innocent in many ways, but she has seen bad and she wants to live.

Dare and Haven together are steamy.  They know they should stay away, but they can't keep their hand off each other.  As with all of Laura's couples, they are perfect for each other.

But of course life isn't simple for them.  Haven is trying to start a new life and to do so she needs to go far, far away from her father and everything she's known.  But can she leave Dare?  Read and find out.

I loved Dare and Haven's story and give Ride Hard FOUR AND A HALF STARS!

DIDN'T I WARN YOU by AMBER BARDEN - #BLOGTOUR @TastyBookTours @AmberABardan

TITLE: DIDN'T I WARN YOU
Series: Bad for You #1
Author: Amber Bardan
Release Dates: April 18th, 2016 (Digital), May 24th (Print) Carina Press
April 18th, 2016 (Digital), May 1st 2016 (Print)Harlequin Australia

Not everything dangerous is bad.

From the moment Angelina laid eyes on him, she fell into a fantasy. Mysterious, foreign, gorgeous, Haithem offered her what she needed most—a chance to feel again.

But Haithem is much more than he appears to be. He lives in a world of danger where everything comes at a price.

For Angelina, that price is her future.

He's made sure the life she's left behind is in tatters. Made her family believe she's dead. Still, he talks about protecting her, about keeping her safe, but she can't distinguish his truth from his lies. She can't separate her pleasure from his betrayal.

Haithem warned her. He told her he'd make her heart race, her body come alive and her most primal needs rush to the surface. His for the taking.

He didn't say she'd come to love the devil who's destroying her, even as he keeps her prisoner.

“I swear—you never existed. I never met you at all.”

His gaze flicked to my touch, and stuck there as though the touching of him was not something that was usually done. His expression shivered and whatever I thought I saw vanished. He rose to his feet. “I’m afraid a promise made under duress is no promise at all.”

“What do you mean, duress?” I leaped off the bed.

He strode for the door. Apparently, he thought our conversation was over. Pity—I wasn’t done. I followed him onto the deck.

Salty air swept hair across my face.

“It’s not as if you’ve threatened me, so I’m not under duress.”

He paused, pushed the notepad into his pocket and turned. “You think someone has to hold a gun to your head for you to be helpless?” His movements changed, went sharp yet somehow also slinky. He walked—not to me but around me. “I have all the power, all the say. And you—” he pointed his finger directly at me “—you, Angel, are a scared girl who wants to go home.”

His words whipped me like lashings from the wind. Painful, cutting lashes that made me want to cry. He stalked me, closing his circle just as surely as a shark. My veins spurted adrenaline, instinct compelling me to run.

But I didn’t run. That would break the dubious politeness he’d affected, and this small glimpse at what lay underneath was enough to shake the skin around me.

There was nowhere to run. He’d catch me, and—god help me—I might even enjoy it.

I might enjoy something so real and so raw as being caught, even if it hurt. No polite control. Nothing proper or respectable. Just real.

He walked and walked, round and around. My neck strained to keep up with him. I couldn’t drop my gaze, couldn’t let him out of my peripheral vision.

“You owe me nothing. I expect nothing from you. I trust no promises from you.” His voice softened, whispered around me from what felt like all directions. He stopped directly behind me, his hands coming down on my shoulders so I couldn’t turn. “But this doesn’t have to be a nightmare. It doesn’t have to be a trap or a prison.” He pulled me back against him, and suddenly his arms were around me and the beast was gone, replaced instead by a comforting protector.

My pulse jumped. How quickly he could change.

“This isn’t fair. For that, I owe you, and I always honor my debts.”

I’d slipped into hyperawareness—of the arm around my waist, the body at my back, the voice in my ear. I could almost see myself in his arms, standing like a waxwork, so still and glassy-eyed.  Mesmerized.

“I saw your face when you told me you’re smothered so tightly you can’t breathe,” he whispered. “You could be free…” He brushed his cheek against my temple. “No one around. You could be yourself.”

He rocked me, so softly I almost missed the shift of my weight from one side to the other. I no longer knew if I was holding myself up.

“I can give you sunsets on the ocean. I can show you space so endless you’ll lose yourself.”
My hair caught on his bristles.

“Have you ever run down a deserted beach, Angel?” His hand moved on my belly. “Have you ever swum naked in salt water?” His voice penetrated my head, my blood, sinking down somewhere even deeper.

“Imagine three weeks where anything you ask will be indulged. All your demands met. Ask me for something—ask me for anything.”

My eyes closed.

“Do you need someone to hear you?” His word curled into my ear so gently, I felt the heat of his body in his breath. “I’ll listen to you talk for days.”

He touched my chest, pressed his palm flat against me.

I twitched.

“You can tell me what it is you keep buried in here. What you’re holding on to so tightly that you can’t let go. You can give it all to me, Angel. Just hand it all over to me…”

Air flooded my lungs, and I lunged out of his grasp. My heart beat so fast, I could imagine coronary damage taking place. I turned and faced him, backing out of reach.

Had I let him read me so thoroughly? Had I laid out my weakness so well that he could drive himself into my head and fuck me there?

Because that’s what he was doing—he was fucking my mind. I knew it. He knew it.

It was working

Didn't I Warn You is the first book in the Bad for You Series by Amber Barden.  This book would definitely be categorized as a dark romance, one of my favorite categories.  But it's not too dark as to be tough to read.

This was one of those books that I just couldn't put down.  I started reading it late one night and then stayed up even later to keep reading.  I eventually had to go to bed, but first thing in the morning, while getting ready for work, I found myself reading again.  And then again during breaks at work.  It was that good.  I wanted to know what would happen and how things would resolve.

I don't usually enjoy books about young twenty somethings, but Angelina seemed more mature than most that I've read.  I really liked her.  I could feel for her and get into her character.  While I couldn't understand what originally drew Angelina to Haithem (other than his sex appeal) I eventually ended up falling for him, just like her.  He is all alpha.  This is not a BDSM book so he's not a Dom, but he is controlling, sure of himself, and he always gets what he wants.  He's rich and knows his way around women and the world.  He's also dangerous.  He's a perfect bad boy, but he's not a boy.  He's all man.

The story had some twists and turns.  And the end leaves you hanging a little.  She's a prisoner, but he seems to be her prisoner too.

I really enjoyed Didn't I Warn You  and give it FOUR STARS!
