I debated about whether to review each book individually or to review them as a whole and decided that since they really are all part of the same story that I would review the whole second season as one. I fell in love with this series when I read the first book in season one. Immediately I formed a connection with Ginny. Each subsequent character that was introduced I also felt.
I have read many books by many of these authors and they all have different styles and genres. It amazes me that this series works so well. I love that there are eight different authors and styles, each contributing their piece to this wonderful story. None can be read as standalones, and you really have had to have read Season One and the midseason books to understand this, but they are all so worth it.
One very nice thing about this series is that all the books release at once. So you don't have to wait for the next installment (other than having had to wait for season two). If you've read Season One and the midseason you will be ready to dive right in. Even if it's been a little while you will probably remember all the characters. They are all back and all storylines get resolved by the end of this series. There are happy endings for all who deserve it. I cried in some stories, laughed in all, and generally felt good reading the whole season two. I loved the resolutions, the couples, and just about everything. I wish I could say more, but I don't want to give away any of the storylines. So I'll just say that this whole series is one I couldn't put down and will probably remain in my re-reading pile for years to come.
I give Season Two of Rising Storm FIVE STARS!
