He's forgotten his past, but it hasn't forgotten him. After losing two years of his life trapped in a coma, August Kincaid will do anything to win back the love of his life. But his past threatens to destroy his second chance at happiness, it's Everly who is in danger of paying for his crimes.

If you haven't yet read Forgetting August, the first in this series, come back on Thursday for my review.

Forgetting August and Remembering Everly are not the usual books I read.  I was intrigued by the synopsis, however, and I'm glad I took the chance and read them.

Remembering Everly is not a standalone.  You must read the two books in order and Forgetting August is first.  So if you haven't read either yet pick up Forgetting August  first.  You won't regret it.
Everly is in her early twenties.  She doesn't have a family and she is reluctant to trust.  But at 18 she met August.  He was her entire world until he got really involved in his work and seemed to forget about her.  He stopped doing everything he loved and seemed to move on.  He abused Everly emotionally.  He locked her in the house.

August then had an accident and was in a coma for two year.  In that time Everly slowly moved on.  She met and trusted someone else.  So much so, that she was set to marry him and then August woke up, remembering nothing about who he was.  At the end of the first book August tells Everly that he remembers and he's mad.

We learn in Remembering Everly that August doesn't remember everything.  He is starting to remember, but there are still big chunks missing.  He does, however, remember that he wants and needs to protect Everly.  We learn why August did what he did to Everly.  He loves her more than anything and wants her to be safe.

I cried in this book.  August's emotions are so clear and he really does love Everly.  But there are big obstacles in the way.  You'll have to read to see how and if Everly and August can overcome their obstacles.

I give  Remembering Everly FOUR STARS!
