Jackson Steele and Sylvia Brooks continue to thrill in the second novel of a scintillating, emotionally charged new trilogy that returns to the world of J. Kenner’s beloved Stark novels:Release Me, Claim Me, and Complete Me.

I never thought I’d lose control, but his desire took me right to the edge.

Powerful, ambitious, and devastatingly sexy, Jackson Steele was unlike any other man I’d ever known. He went after what he wanted with his whole mind, body, and soul—and I was the woman in his sights. One touch and I surrendered, one night together and I was undone.

Jackson and I had secrets, dark pieces of our pasts that threatened to swallow us both. We couldn’t outrun our demons, or the people trying to tear us apart. But in our passion we found salvation, and in each other’s arms we found release.

I was scared to trust Jackson fully, to finally let go. Yet no matter the dangers that lay ahead, I knew I was his—and now that we’ve laid claim, there’s no more holding back.

On My Knees is intended for mature audiences.

When I read the original Stark Series I thought that Damien was hot.  But after reading two books in this series I say, "Move over Damien.  Make way for Jackson."  Jackson has everything that Damien has, but he's just a little rougher, a little more bad boy, and a whole lot sexier.

On My Knees is the second in the Stark International Trilogy.  While I think this series could be read as a standalone series (without having read the Stark Trilogy) I don't think this book would make any sense if you haven't already read Say My Name.  Luckily I had read (and loved) Say My Name (see my review here) so I was more than ready to dive into On My Knees.

Sylvia and Jackson continue their relationship in On My Knees.  At the end of the last book there was a big reveal that threatened them.  I don't want to give away any spoilers, but the shocker at the end of the 1st book gets resolved.  Now there are new issues to deal with.  Both Jackson and Sylvia have secrets.  Both divulge a little bit at a time.  Anyone in a relationship knows that secrets are a big "no-no," but Jackson and Sylvia's secrets are both so big and so powerful that they can't reveal all at once.  When secrets are revealed there are problems.

In On My Knees Sylvia continues to give her control to Jackson.  He needs control and she needs to feel control by relinquishing it voluntarily.  This heals both of them.   They are both much more confident in their relationship and obviously deeply in love.  Sylvia is much stronger now than at the beginning of Say My Name.  She is still deeply scarred emotionally, but already we can see that Jackson is healing her.  Jackson, too, seems calmer and more level since being involved with Sylvia.  In short, they are perfect for each other.

Once again, at the end of this book there is a big cliffhanger.  The only bad thing I have to say about On My Knees is that I don't want to wait for the happily ever after.  I love these characters and want the next book NOW!!!!!

I give On My Knees FIVE STARS!
