From Celestial Seduction
No, aliens don’t exist. Or did they? How else could she explain the blue light from his hands and the resulting sensations she’d felt inside? And how could he do things the doctors could not?
If his words were true, she should run away, get as far away from him as possible before he began experimenting on her. Or had he already? But none of his actions brought her any harm. He’d only held her down and kissed her to keep her calm. And maybe even given her the chance to become a mother.
But oh, that kiss.
And now, he sat on the other side of the room, giving her space and time to think things through.
But he doesn’t look like an alien! Why would he make that up though? What would he gain?
“Frey?”
He looked over, his eyes empty, hollow. She’d never seen anyone look as sad without shedding a tear, quite the transformation from the confident human she’d seen enter the room hours earlier.
Guilt overwhelmed her for wanting an answer to the question in her head, but she asked anyway. “Is that what you really look like? I mean, you’re like the perfect male specimen.”
She hoped he’d respond with a smile, but he just shook his head, eyes cast down. “It’s just an illusion created to help us fit in on Earth.”
She hid her panic, but her mind raced with thoughts of an alien invasion. “Us? There’s more like you?”
“There were more of us, but everyone else returned to Ginnun. I’m the only one left on Earth.”
Phew! “Ginnun, what’s that?”
“My home planet.”
“Oh, but why? Why did you come here and why did you decide to stay?”
He glanced toward her. His eyes no longer held any color, their blackness appearing wet. “We came here to learn. The disguise is to prevent spreading fear and violence with our arrival. We mean no harm, but as my kind has travelled through space over the centuries, we have never been met with peace.”
She could understand why. Most people on Earth believed aliens would only come to the planet to take over. Unsure what she believed, she trusted Frey had no intention of hurting her, he’d had plenty of opportunity already. “Again, why did you stay?”
His eyes blinked—sideways. She tried to hide her gasp, but failed and he looked away. “Like I told you, my intended one mated with my former friend. I had no one to return to.”
She slid to the end of the bed, wanting to get closer to him. “Don’t you have family, friends? Are humans really that interesting?” She walked toward him, curious to know and see more.
“No one that matters.” He paused as if he noticed her getting closer. “On Ginnun, we are taught from a young age that displays of emotion are banned, not that those teachings are always successful. Parents aren’t supposed to love their children and husbands can’t show any affection for their wives. When Tandee gave herself to another, it tore me apart, but I wasn’t allowed to feel that way. After only a month here, I knew I didn’t want to return to Ginnun. I wanted to feel.”
She stood in front of him then and held out her hands. His black eyes met hers as he wrapped her hands in his. “You’re okay with what I told you?”
“No, but I’m trying to stay open-minded.” She tried to keep her hands from shaking even as she showed him she could handle the information. “I don’t feel like you want to hurt me though.”
He lightly squeezed her hands, a smile forming on his lips. “I would never bring you harm.”
Lifting one hand up, she gently placed it on the side of his face. “Will you show me what you really look like? I can see your real eyes, but I want to see the rest.”
“You won’t run away?” She winced seeing all of the confidence he’d had at the beginning of the night gone, but it made her trust him even more. “Whatever you do, please don’t scream.”
“I promised to stay the entire night, didn’t I? And don’t worry, I don’t scream unless someone sneaks up on me, or if I see a spider. You don’t look like a spider, do you?” The very thought sent a chill through her body.
He smiled, some of his confidence back while his human image flickered for a few seconds before completely disappearing. Unsure what to expect, she tried not to judge until she’d set eyes on his entire figure. Long, spindly fingers intertwined with hers. He tried to let go, but she held them tight. His body appeared taller and leaner than before. She saw the same black eyes, a less prominent nose and barely visible ears. His hair became jet black and appeared longer and curlier than before. Underneath luminescent scales, his skin shone a light blue.
“So, what do you think?” His mouth quirked, revealing his uncertainty.
Except for their color, his lips were the only thing that didn’t change. She leaned towards him, wondering if they would still feel the same. She had to stand on the tips of her toes to reach him, but wrapping her arms around his neck helped. The feel of his skin surprised her. Perhaps he didn’t have scales, but the pattern lay beneath his skin.
He’s beautiful.
His lips were softer, warmer. When Frey responded to her kiss, it produced an urgency inside her that pushed away any lingering fear or hesitation. His hands cradled her ass and lifted her up, closer to him. She wrapped her legs around his waist. “Why don’t we get those clothes off and see what the rest of you looks like?”

If you are looking for the perfect summertime read then look no further.  An Alien to Love  is it.  Five great, fun sci-fi stories in one book.  All are quick, little, romance reads that I loved.  If you've never read any of the 1NS stories, then Jessica E. Subject's stories are the place to start. Madame Eve is a genius and Jessica E. Subject's characters are always perfect for each other.  If I wasn't happily married I'd look up Madame Eve myself.

Celestial Seduction  tells the story of alien Frey and human Carrie.  Carrie is divorced and is still hurt by her ex-husband.  Frey is looking for something more than he can find on his home planet.  She is very untrusting and he is very nervous to open up to a stranger.  But Carrie soon falls for the alien. A quick story of learning to trust again.

Satin Sheets in Space  is the menage story in this anthology.  Danyka is very tall and has never had luck with men on earth.  Luckily for her, her boss sets her up with Madame Eve and she winds up with not one, but two sexy aliens.  After she gets past her fear she experiences all that the aliens can do for her.  A great menage with two sexy men.

Another Night, Another Planet is the story of Ava and Nate.  They had dated a long time ago, but because of Nate's ancestry he was kicked off the planet.  Ava never knew why Nate left her.  She only knew that he did and she still feels the betrayal.  Nate must explain his story and win Ava back. Their love is literally explosive (you'll have to read to see why).

His Alien Virgin  is the only one of these stories that I had read before, but I was very happy to read it again.  It's also the only story in this book about two aliens.  Skylar is betrothed to a scary, tentacled alien.  She escapes her betrothal and winds up on Earth.  Darran is a friend of Skylar's step brothers.  When she finds out that Darran is her intended date, Skylar tries to escape.  She soon realizes that Darran means her no harm and they both rediscover the blooming romance that they had once had.  It goes much further now though.  They had liked each other before.  Now they act on it.   A great story of two aliens finding love on Earth.

Her Alien Hero tells the story of romance writer Melinda and alien Cooper.  Neither Melinda nor Cooper wants the 1 Night Stand dating service, but Melinda is pressured by friends to sign up  and Cooper is signed up by a friend.  They had been next door neighbors in high school, but Cooper never acted on his feelings.  He is half alien and is afraid to trust people.  He doesn't want to be a lab rat.  Melinda writes sexy romances, but never actually experiences them until Cooper.  He learns to trust and she learns to fall in love.  A great ending to a great anthology.

With a price of $0.99 you really can't beat this set.  I give An Alien to Love FOUR AND HALF STARS!

THE STAR PRINCESS by Jessica E. Subject - Word Search Blog Tour #BLOGTOUR #REVIEW #GIVEAWAY @Jsubject

Title: THE STAR PRINCESS

Series: A Beyond Fairytales story

Author:  Jessica E. Subject

Genre: New Adult Erotic Sci-Fi Romance
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23491989-the-star-princess

In one week, Princess Ro’sa will board a spaceship, leaving her home on Minjet to be with her betrothed on Earth. The only problem is, she detests the prince’s selfish and arrogant ways, preferring to spend time with his personal aide, a man who stirs her desires in ways she never imagined possible with his radiant blue eyes and smouldering lips. And oh, the way he touches her.
Earth’s post-apocalyptic landscape offers little but the alliance offers much and a princess must do her duty, no matter the danger to her person and to her heart.

Before Ro’sa had a chance to respond, another man stepped out of the shuttle and slapped the prince’s on the back.
Ka’lyn shifted beside her. “Who’s that?”
“His personal servant?” She’d been told the prince would arrive with his own entourage. “Maybe a friend?” Would a servant be allowed to touch royalty? On Minjet, yes, but she’d been told the line between royalty and commoners was much more defined on Earth. At least before the last war.
“He’s cute, too. A stronger jaw, and look at those full lips. Imagine what they’d be like to kiss, how they’d feel on your breasts and between your legs.”
“Would you stop!” Ro’sa covered her mouth. Her words had come out much louder than she’d intended as she focused on the images her friend had planted in her head.
Ka’lyn poked her arm. “He’s looking this way.” Ro’sa glanced at the shuttle platform and found the man’s gaze fixed on her. He leaned over the railing before racing down the stairs.
Busted. “He saw us. Run!” Ro’sa bolted in a zigzag around the trees, staying off the path. If the prince’s friend had seen her, had her betrothed? Would he still want to marry her if he’d caught her spying? She didn’t want to disappoint her parents, after all they’d done to arrange the union, or delay her meeting with the prince.
But, star clusters, it had been so worth it. At their introduction ceremony, she would stand more confident in front of him, and, at night, when she retired, she’d imagine him in bed with her, taking her virginity. Or maybe he’d be there with her instead, and she wouldn’t have to fantasize about anything.

Anyone who knows anything about me knows that I LOVE fairytales.  When I was a tiny little girl I would cry at happy endings when the prince met his princess.  I absolutely love the idea of the Beyond Fairytales line and love reading all my favorite childhood stories another way.  So I was very excited to read one by Jessica E. Subject.

This was a very quick and sweet story.  Deion sounds so sexy and Ro'sa is beautiful.  Deion is from Earth and goes to meet his bride.  Their marriage is an arranged marriage and both are obviously nervous.  To make matters worse Deion is sick.  He asks his aide to fill in for him at his first meeting with his bride, but the aide does more and actually pretends to be Deion.

Ro'sa thinks he fake Deion is very good looking, but immediately has feelings for who she thinks is the aide (the actual Prince Deion).  A case of mistaken identity and guilty feelings all around make for an interesting story.

Two people from different planets with different cultures fall for each other.

I love how Jessica E Subject's stories don't have any prejudices.  Anyone truly can fall in love with anyone and they do (in real life and in books).  This book shows how possible it is.

Another great quick read by Jessica E. Subject that I give 5 stars!

Short blurb

Excerpt
His evening was supposed to be fun and exciting. Not filled with the worry of his companion learning of his extraterrestrial origins, or of her outing him to the world. He’d kept his hair short, to hide the feathers that grew in when his locks reached a certain length. And, each morning, he covered his exposed skin with waterproof foundation to conceal the blue tinge of his skin. But, as soon as he removed his clothing later in the night, his façade would end. He wouldn’t be able to hide his differences. Unless we stay in this part of the hotel all night. The dim lighting would make his skin color less obvious.
Perfect! He stood, his muscles finally relaxing, the tension melting away. Circling the room, he blew out every third candle. Just to be sure. In the morning, his one-night lover would leave, never knowing she’d had sex with an alien.
Daran returned to his chair, leaning back, hands behind his head. Or, if he was really lucky, he’d find an Earth woman who considered extraterrestrials to be sexy.
The door to the observatory rattled and he jumped to his feet, brushing sweaty palms across his pants. Heart pounding, he glanced up at the sky. Gods, please let this evening work out.
With a burst of light, the door opened. A woman stepped through, her long, lean body hidden in shadows. Clutching his fingers behind his back, he waited for her to move closer, needing to see her better.
A strange tingling filled him. Not good. Something’s wrong. He swallowed the sudden lump in his throat. I should never have agreed to this. Trying to step back, he stumbled when the message didn’t reach his feet.
His date drew nearer, her appearance becoming more defined. A silver dress hugged her body, both protecting and giving a hint of the delicious treat inside. The candlelight reflected off her wide eyes, leaving them glowing like sapphires. With most of her hair pulled back, the remaining long blue tendrils framed her face and highlighted her matching lips. But her radiant, mesmerizing eyes sparked his recognition. He knew her. His stomach sank along with all hopes for the evening.
“Oh, fuck.”
Of all the women on Earth—hell, in the universe—for him to be set up with, Madame Eve had to pick the one lover he could never have.

 REVIEW

Whenever I'm in the mood for a quick romance fix I turn to 1NS and Madame Eve.  They can usually be read fairly quickly in one to two sittings and they are always enjoyable.  Jessica E. Subject's latest 1 NS book, His Alien Virgin does not disappoint.  I loved Satin Sheets in Space (review coming soon) and loved reading this book with some of the same characters.  Skylar and Daran knew each other when younger and both secretly loved each other.  When Madame Eve sets them up years later their feelings are even stronger although Daran tries very hard to deny it.

One thing I love about Jessica E. Subject's books is that she combines some science fiction in with her romance stories.  But not so much that you can't relate to the characters.  Even though Skylar and Daran are aliens they showed very human emotions and you can feel for them.  Both Skylar and Daran were very likeable characters and it was very fun, quick read.  I recommend His Alien Virgin to anyone looking for a sweet, quick romance with a little bit of sci-fi.
